I am so proud to be representing you, the exhibitors of
the Gulf Shore Region, on the CFA Board of Directors. Thank you
for your support. I believe that if we all work together, we can
accomplish so much for our region and for CFA.
I would
appreciate your input. What do you expect from your regional
director? What would you like to see accomplished? Please
review the list of committees and positions that are open. If you
find an area of interest, please let me know. Several positions
have been filled, but the majority are still available. I am also
looking for people to serve as liaisons for their area clubs. The
liason would be responsible for keeping me informed of the activities of
the clubs in a specific area. I’d like to have at least one liason
for each state or area.
You can reach
me by phone, fax or email. My phone number is (830)816-2114 – home
or (210)844-4965 - cell; fax is (830)249-6372; and my email address is
stormy@beecreek.net. I’d prefer phone calls before 9 pm, but if you
leave a message, I will return your phone calls.

Club
Activities
The GSR would
like to welcome two clubs.
The
International Havana Brown Society has been reassigned to Region 3.
The club’s secretary is relocating to New Mexico.
The
Siberian Cat Club is a newly formed and recognized Siberian Breed
Club. The club’s secretary resides just outside of Dallas.
This club has members nationwide, as well as one from Japan. They are
working toward the advance of the Siberian to Championship status.
Voluntary Club Activity Report
Club
Secretaries will be receiving a Voluntary Club Activity Report
sometime this week.
With your assistance, we can really move ahead with gathering
information on what our clubs are doing.
This information will be used to better position ourselves in several
different venues, such as Animal welfare, Animal Legislation,
Corporate Sponsorship, and all the goals and objectives of CFA.
The report is for the show season of May 2001 to April of
2002. This information will be gathered and shared with you
in a format that might enable your clubs to learn about ideas and
efforts made by other clubs, in addition to helping CFA put itself in a
better position in the aforementioned areas of concern.
If your club has not had any areas of activity to report, no problem.
All inactive clubs will simply not appear anywhere, as will clubs that
do not respond. For further information, please contact Gary Veach,
CFA Director at Large.
